About Rita

I am an educational leader, researcher and advocate for social mobility, passionate about improving life chances through achievement, aspiration and opportunity.

With experience spanning student achievement, sixth form leadership, safeguarding, teaching and learning, careers education and industry partnerships, I have led initiatives across Years 5 to 13 in both UK and international contexts. My work focuses on connecting educational excellence with meaningful futures, ensuring that young people leave school not only with strong academic outcomes, but with the confidence, experiences and pathways needed to thrive beyond education.

Alongside my leadership practice, I hold an MA in Education, Policy & Society from King's College London, where my research explored a multitude of themes such as John Rawls’ Veil of Ignorance and its application to the distribution of educational resources to improve outcomes, policies designed to reduce educational inequality, and finally the influence of media discourse on education policy and public perceptions of education.

Through research, leadership frameworks and school improvement strategies, I am particularly interested in educational equity, student achievement, future readiness and the role education plays in expanding opportunity.
